Charles Francis Tague, our Uncle, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012. Proud member of the "Greatest Generation" he lived his life with humor, dignity and a selfless sense of duty and was cherished by his six children and 11 grandchildren. Born August 16, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, educated at St. Anne's Academy and Fordham University. Drafted to the Navy during W.W.II, he was a signalman aboard LCF-18 at D-Day, and later served in the South Pacific. On August 6, 1949, he married his life's love Alicia. Together they lived in Jackson Heights, NY, Colts Neck, NJ, Upper Saddle River, N.J. and Jackson, N.J., sharing with their family and friends 62 years of memories. He enjoyed a distinguished career as a Financial Officer.
He is survived by his sons, Patrick, Charles, Thomas, James and daughters, Mary Alicia Haberman and Beth Anne Giulano, their spouses, Brenda, Gloria, Elise, Liza and Joseph, 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, and all his friends.
